Erik the Viking

This is Erik. I met him at Bauhaus one day while he was working on a pen & ink piece. He's rad. Maybe you've seen him. He works at VV. You know, Value Village!

The theme is purple...

Not really. But Wes too can be spotted from a mile away with that purple jacket and El Principe-his trusty bike in tow. He's pretty blingin' with that chain.

This is Gabby. She's absolutely adorable. I saw her coat from a mile away. And look at those gloves. Gorgeous.

Burlesque dancers I met on Broadway. They're from Tulsa and it was their last day in Seattle. Sweet ladies.

FierceRocious

This is Daryious. He's ridiculously fierce. All the time, everyday, every hour... you know what I'm saying?

Lana

She's a doll. Love the skirt. She made it herself. Look at those pleats.

taller than i am

I run into Emery every so often at Bauhaus.  He's so ginormous that I could barely position myself to fit him into the frame. But I think this photo is pretty accurate of the first impression he gives others. :) I want that scarf. Dressed for the winter!

Clark Kent?

So, I met Charles at Bauhaus today. He's originally from Montreal. Funny I've never seen him before because I love that coffee shop to death. Michelle, owner of the fashion boutique Rue, described him as "geeky chic." Great glasses. Nice shoes.

downtown

I thought she was really adorable.  The glasses work and I love her sweater.  She even has a cute name: Vi.

This look just works for him.  He looks so...what's the word? Comfortable. It's as if he didn't try.  Although cyclists with similar style are predominantly seen around Capitol Hill, I did a double take when I saw this guy. What do you think?

Allemande

I ran into this stunning girl at the H&M downtown.  I was a bit apprehensive to ask for her photograph but she was adorably flattered. :)  Her name is Ana and she's from Germany. I hope she gets to see this! I think she's quite lovely.

Her cat-eye eyeliner is ridiculously proportionate. And her boots own my envy.

I'm happy about this photograph but I know that I still need to work on my depth of field. Definitely, I need to make my depth of field even more shallow. I'm super excited for the coming weeks!

Ciao,
Julz

Art Nouveau?

Her name is Julia. I am 99.9% sure that she's the most well-dressed lady on campus. The first time she entered my French class I thought she stepped out of a French vintage art poster. She wears the fiercest hats. I regret that I didn't photograph her sooner. She has amazing style.
Hey loverlies!

I'm embarking on a new photo project: street fashion photography.  I'm really excited about this development.  I'm currently taking a street photography class with Neil Lukas at the PCNW. I will be maintaining a series of photographs throughout the coming weeks.  I'm happy to fuse my love for photography and fashion into this (future) portfolio.  Please feel free to leave any comments, especially in terms of photographic composition.  I can use all the constructive criticism I can get. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Love,
Julz
